Once again Burton brings it with the all around versatile Custom X. This board easily dominated any terrain I was on and allowed me to go all out which I found quite difficult to do on any other board I tried. This last season stoked me out completely on the Custom X and now I can’t wait for next season’s! By friends got a good connection, Ill see if I can get some pictures up here soon!
The Burton Custom X is, hands-down, the best and most renowned all-mountain snowboard in the industry. If there is one snowboard in shops that is sought after more than any other one, it is the Custom X. But, what makes the Custom X so good?
Well, let’s look at this years features on the Burton Custom-X: Sintered WFO Base, Multizone EGD, Vaporskin, Carbon I-Beam, Stainless Steel Pressure Distribution Edges, and a Positive Core profile. Fast, explosive, and light make the Custom X an avid freestyler’s best friend.
Furthermore, the Burton Baron ES has been replaced by the Custom X wide. Now there is no more confusion and mediocre graphics. Everybody is able to enjoy the Custom X. It should be noted at this point that the Burton Custom X wide actually does not use a Positive Core Profile. Instead Burton utilizes an Even Core Profile for the wide versions–presumably to add in the support for larger riders.
Other updates for 2008 include a widened waist on all the Custom X’s except for the 156. And a 168 was added to the line-up. Other than that, the board has remained the same great snowboard you can rely on. Even the graphics remained super clean.
